Our Journey

My name is Matthew, and I grew up with a love for sports, fitness, and cooking. However, my early years were also marked by a diet rich in processed foods. As I got older, my perspective shifted, and I became obsessed with real and nutritious foods. As I started to eat better and think about what was in my food, I started to think about... what is in everything? As I went down the rabbit hole, I started to think and read a lot about natural skincare. I really cared not only about my personal health, but also about what we put into and on our bodies.

Discovering Tallow

My introduction to tallow was a game-changer. I started to buy some from a local farmers market, and used it daily. I really liked how natural it felt, how my skin absorbed it, and how right it felt... My girlfriend, now my wife, was equally impressed. She would often 'borrow' (aka... steal!!!) my tallow balm and soon began using it daily herself. Her skin transformed and glowed, and she loved the results as much as I did.

Crafting Our Own Tallow Balm

After our positive experiences, I decided to take the next step: experimenting with making tallow balm myself. I began adding different oils and natural ingredients to create unique formulations that I liked... The more I made my own tallow, the more I realized how great it would be to share it with others. Boom... Terra Tallow was started.

Terra Tallow was born out of a passion for natural skincare and a commitment to using only the highest-quality, locally sourced ingredients. We believe that skincare should be simple... no more expensive skincare routines that don't work... just natural ingredients that people have been using for centuries. Our tallow is sourced from grass-fed & finished cattle raised by top-quality ranchers (primarily in the Hill Country in Texas), ensuring that every product we offer supports our local community.
